As a Virginia Tech Graduate, Courtney is excited for the opportunity to utilize her business and
hospitality experiences to serve as a Connect with a Wish board member. In particular, she looks
forward to applying her knowledge and networking ability in planning the inaugural Make a Wish gala
in April 2023, as well as other fundraising events in the coming years.
Volunteering with children has been a passion of Courtney's since grade school. She grew up
participating in various community outreaches in the Richmond area and also served as a Big Sister
in Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. After moving to Virginia Beach in 2014, she learned about
Connect With a Wish and knew she wanted to serve the organization.
As a mother, Courtney is inspired by the selflessness of foster families. Her mission is to use her
resources, connections, and experiences to help contribute to the success of foster families and
children around Virginia Beach.
