Connect to Careers is equipped with a program manager to work with aged-out youth and those in the city's Fostering Futures program. We work on five goals with them to pursue independent living: a transportation plan, polishing resumes & interview skills, securing a housing plan, building a financial plan, job training & additional education. We conduct monthly Mission:Possible meetings to help facilitate reaching these goals. We include resume workshops, financial literacy courses, and exclusive job fairs. We also invite local employers to share opportunities and job skills needed for their field. Upon accomplishment of their goals they receive financial incentive, certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation! Connect to Careers will also soon service our affordable bridge housing, providing these services and more to residents.
