Sue is a native Chicagoan that relocated to Virginia Beach with her family (husband Mike, son Liam and daughter Maggie) in 2017. Sue comes to CWW after having worked at the City of Virginia Beach as a Supervisor in the after-school programs in Parks & Recreation for 4 years.

Sue developed a passion for volunteerism from her mother who never stopped giving back to her community throughout her life. Starting in her 20’s working weekly with the homeless in Chicago at a shelter and then preparing and delivering meals to homeless vets living on the streets.

Prior to moving to VA Sue was a founding board member & former vice president of Two Rivers Nation, a 501c3 organization that promoted family life & nurturing parent/child relationships all while learning and experiencing the history of Native Americans. Sue was a 15 year member of Lombard Junior Woman’s Club, a philanthropic group that founded and implemented a week long cancer camp for kids every summer. She was the chair of many large fundraising events and looks forward to using those experiences to further the mission of CWW. She is a current member of the Women's Club of Tidewater.
